Congratulations Billet

We are so proud of Billet and his team! They fought through 4 hard games this weekend and came out on top!! I the final game we were losing 1-0 and Billet got called for a penalty shot. He went to center ice and drove to the net and scored! This sparked his team who went on to win the game 4-2. Billet had another goal and was the MVP of the tournament! It was great. I was such a proud mommy!
Aceleigh started a new pre-school to help get her ready for Kindergarten. It is at the same school that Billet and Hartleigh go to and they are all so happy there. Thank you Appleton Elementary.
I am still in school ugh! I will be done this December with my teaching certificate. Finally, I will have the credentials that I always wanted.
I really hope to keep up on this better. Talk to you all real soon!

June 29, 2009

Happy Birthday Billet!! Hello everyone! I think it is finally summer! We have had two days with no rain and the sun has been shinning. Plus, we have had to turn the air conditioner on. So the every Sunday thing may be a little harder than I had originally thought because of school and everything but I'll try my best. Not a lot has happened over the past two weeks. I did get an interview just this morning with Caprock Academy and they asked me to come for a formal interview tomorrow. I guess I'm just keeping my options open. I'll let you all know how it turned out. Our temple date has been set. August 14th at Noon! What an exciting experience that will be. All of Hartleigh's tests results came back normal so now we just have to see how she does over the next few months. One more thing in regards to my school I got an A in both my Biology class and its Lab. Very exciting! I feel so smart lately. With it being summer there isn't a whole lot to tell. Billet's Birthday party was fun and exciting. We had a huge water balloon and water fight adults and all. He is nine now. Almost double digits!
I hope this post finds all my family and friends doing well. Take care and I will talk to you next week.

Let's Try This Again!

OK so I'm not so good at the whole blog thing but I'm really going to try this again. I have decided that every Sunday night I am going to write an update of the weekly happenings. So let's catch everyone up. School is out and we are just really trying to take it easy for the summer. I am taking a few classes this summer to try and finish up so that I can start the teaching program in the fall. Hartleigh just had her birthday on Tuesday and she had surgery on Friday to get a tube put in her left ear and to get some adenoids removed that decided to grow back after the first surgery. Whew! I'm glad that is all over with I just pray that it all works this time. Billet has his birthday this week so we are preparing for that. He is going to invite a few friends for some slipping and sliding and water balloon fights! It should be a fun time! Aceleigh has really been trying our patience lately. I'm not sure what it is because she is 4 now and should really be out of the terrible two's but they seem to be lasting a little bit too long. Sabrina just got back from a great time in California. She said she could see herself going to college there and having a blast! Thanks to both my sisters and my mom for showing her a good time! Can't think of too much else right now. Billet and Mike are just playing some pick up hockey and doing some stick times so it has been pretty quiet. I'm going to enjoy it because I know it won't last for long. Talk to you all soon!

October 23, 2008

Hello Everyone! Well what a week this was! We had 4 hockey games this last weekend 2 were in Vernal for Billet and 2 were in Grand Junction for Mike. We won 2 and tied 2. Billet had 2 goals in his first game and 2 assists. Then in his second game he had two assists. He did great! Mike had a HAT trick in his first game and an assist. Then in the second game he had 2 goals and one assist. OUR BOYS ROCKED THIS WEEKEND!! Jacob on Tuesday night played in the SUPERBOWL and WON. He scored the first touchdown of two scores for his team. He did great too! I will add some pictures from these events later. We had parent/teacher conferences for Billet and Hartleigh. Billet is way ahead of his class in both math and spelling. Hartleigh refused to take the pre-test and the end of the first quarter test so we are not real sure where she stands. That's Alan's girl for you, right?
Alan, myself, Danika, Mike, and Sabrina went and listened to Governor Palin speak at Suplezio Field here in Grand Junction. I had one of the best times of my life! There were of course a few people that let's just say didn't share our same views. Bless their hearts! LOL! Anyway, hope all is well in each of your lives and that you are all healthy.
Take care!

OCT. 13, 2008

Hi I hope everyone had a great weekend, I know we did. Here is a brief update on what is going on in our life right now.
We will start with the kids and work our way down.
We have three (3) yes! 3 high schoolers all at Grand Junction High School Danika (Jr.), Mike (Soph) and Sabrina (Fresh). Sabrina loves it! I think she is the only one though. She just got done with volleyball. I will include some pictures of that in here. Danika has had mono for the past month and a half and has missed three and a half weeks of school. YIKES! We hope she can get caught up. Mike has started hockey again so here we go. He made the "A" team so he is on the most competitive team and is actually making good decisions lately which makes me very proud. Jacob is once again playing football and is undefeated again this year. He has his second playoff game this Saturday and then he will have the Super Bowl next Tuesday. Billet started hockey too. This year he tried out for the squirt competitive team and made it as an 8 year old. Pretty good considering all the other players are 9 or 10. Maybe this should be called a 'brag' instead of a 'blog'. lol Anyway, his first game is this Saturday in Vernal. I'll take some pictures and try to video some (yeah right). Video is sooo hard for me because I get so excited and start screaming and jumping and that's what everyone sees. Let's see Hartleigh is in gymnastics and loves it. She is in the Hot Shot Tots class and now is doing back walk overs CRAZY! Aceleigh is in gymnastics as well more so because she needs something to do and we haven't found what she loves yet so by default she goes to gymanstics. She loves is too though and she is in a class without Hartleigh so that is good too. I'm new with all this blogging thing so if this seems weird it's because I don't know what I'm doing. Hartleigh also needs to have her tonsils out apparently they are HUGE and isn't breathing correctly at night. So Happy Thanksgiving Hartleigh. Which leaves us to Alan and myself. We are taxi drivers, homework helpers, boo boo fixers, dinner makers, fundraising coordinators, and much more. We are trying to make some pretty big decisions about life, location and where we want to be someday. It gets frustrating but I'm sure most of you have been there. I think I'm really going to like all this blogging thing. It's an easy way to keep in touch and let everyone know our happenings. Talk to you all soon...
